Welcome to the Golden Years Podcast! This podcast will be led by your hosts Rebecca and Jen. We will be discussing Late Adulthood and various topics that individuals within this life stage are often impacted by, such as structural violence, ageism, suicide, financial insecurity, and Medical Assistance In Dying. We will also be bringing in different perspectives such as social work, aboriginal and non-western worldviews, along with Vygotsky’s theory and other theories on older adults. We hope you enjoy listening!
We recognize that some of the topics discussed might be triggering for some listeners. To better support your wellbeing after listening, please feel free to try the grounding technique explained in the image. You can also add this exercise to your self-care tool kit and use it when you are experiencing anxiety or are in a stressful situation. Please remember to take deep breaths during this exercise 🙂
